Hi, I just finished Rysen's tutorial, and I noticed he had a section on menu making. I went to it, but I can't do it - he didn't provide the images needed. I was wondering if someone could either provide these, or provide a tutorial on menu making. Thanks! :)

Overkill

Well, I suppose I could teach someone how to make a menu. Lemme see.

Thanks Overkill! That would be greatly appreciated. btw, in your Beginner's tutorial, (http://www.ovk.actionsketch.com/V3Tutorial) in the ToC, a tutorial on menu making is listed, but not accessable. Perhaps you should write it and put it there? and.. this is off topic, but... how can I get an Avatar? I don't see any options for it in the Edit Profile section. O_o

At present you earn an avatar upon release of your first demo, whereupon you give it to me and I upload it.

In the future you earn your avatar, an admin flips a switch, and you upload it.

Either way, it's a small motivational feature that... we've not really documented very well.

It's getting close to the time of the reckoning when all those features I meant to implement the first time around get made. 2.25 years is enough of a rest from the massive recode to have my juju back, I suppose. ;)

LOL, I see... well, I might upload a demo, I dunno. You see, a friend and I are working on an RPG called Chain of War, and we're using VERGE to do it. And atm we're not quite sure if we're going to release a demo. Why, you ask? Because we maybe want to surprise our fans (though we don't have many yet, lol) with a 100% complete game, instead of a demo.. though, I suppose that if I upload it here, more people will come check out our site. :)

Is that directed at me or Overkill..? If the former, sure! ..though Overkill, you can still consider writing a menu tutorial, 'cause the more the merrier! Or rather, the more help I can get the better. :)

@ rosh.r03:
You mean SK Software, right? ..that's because the site's under construction, plus I nor Kaboodleschmitt (my associate) have made any posts about using Verge. We WERE going to use RPGds (http://www.rpgds.net), but it's not released yet, and the only version going to be released soon is the linux version. And neither of is have, nor feel like, getting linux. So, we decided to use Verge. :) ...just haven't announced it yet. :P

@ eltimo:
Yeah, I've been on rysen's tutorial.. the only problem with it is that he doesn't supply the needed images. ...but now that you mention it, I never thought of making my own... (or, rather, getting Kaboodle to do it... gfx are his job, after all) Heh heh, guess I'd better get to it... I can't believe I never thought of that O_o

It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
