So Im using VOpenChr 0.5 right now, *trying* to make me some townsfolk......

I made guy, and saved it as "TownfolkMale1.chr"

yeah, it overwrote my "MainGuy.chr" file, AND made TownFolkMale1.chr

and then whe TownFolkMale1.chr is entity-o-fied into the map, he slides around instead of animating. Main guy (which is a copy of the TownFolkMale1.chr) animates perfectly.

So, why is my VOpenChr being a total nimrod? its a good thing my MainGuy.chr was just a rip of Cecil from FF4, otherwise Id be super ticked! ;)

Personally, I prefer just using MAKmak with CHRMAK.

That program would be better if it supported copy / paste :(

( I fail at art.....kind of borrowing FF1 sprites... ;) )

MAKmak has an import from clipboard method, but that's not much better than the import from image functionality already there :D

agreed . If I wasnt busting open photoshop and grabbing sprites from a giant (Every sprite from EVERY nes FF game) sheet, I would use Makmak......but its faster to select and copy/paste into Vopenchr....which seems to have stopped being a tool. :)

It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
