Well, I really can't draw for crap, and RPGMaker VX has lots of nice - and free! - stuff to use for Entities. For now, to try to make sure VERGE plays nice with my 32*48 Entities, I'm going to set
playerstep = 32

with all of the hitboxes being 16 * 16, and sat on the bottom left.

The only problem that I can see from there is worrying about good placement of zones and obstructions on maps. Anything else to take on board?

Actually, a specific question has occurred to me:

With playerstep of 32, if there is an obstruction two tiles away, is the Entity movement system clever enough to detect that and not let my Entity move?

EDIT: Sorry, title should have been weird *Entity* sizes...

With a 16x16 hitbox, your entity will only be obstructed at that area.

This means that entitymove will appear to move him into walls.

Solutions here include:

1) making the entity's hitbox bigger (at least 32x16 on the bottom row of the entity)

2) just constructing your movescripts carefully so it looks fine when automated.
