mcgrue

So, now that the Battle System results are in, this is your official announcement that the sister competition I've been planning is, in fact, on.

Gentlemen, form your teams.

The preliminary terms of this contest are that it will most definitly be an RPG. It is at your discretion to include menus and/or battles, but these elements will only be factored in how they improve or detract from the overall experience.

I had hinted earlier that battle systems and menus would have to be made publically available before the contest. This is no longer true. You may edit and code these things during the contest, due to the fact that they are not actively being accounted into the judgement.

The specifics of the content requirements will be made at the start of the contest, on Friday at 12:01 AM EST.

Lay on.

I have a feeling someone must have already done the joke: "Lay on, McGrue; And damned be him that first cries, 'Need a poo!'"

Good compo news even so. :)

It's new to me, and I don't get it.

Sorry, I suck.

That joke has indeed been done. The line is "Lay on Macduff, and damn be him that first cries hold, enough!" from Macbeth. Of course, all lines containing Macduff or Macbeth and be replaced with McGrue. FUNNNY STUFFZ!>Be ware.

The Scottish play? Bah. I'm Irish!

Well, vicariously through genetics and names, at least.

Happy Bloomsday, btw.

The Scottish and the Irish are the same.

if( strcmp( "Scottish", "Irish" ) != 0 ) {
log( "STFU, Donnie" );
}

They're not the same... I'm Scottish, and I don't think McGrue would want to be associated with me in any way whatsoever. :)

Gayo

Shouldn't you be O'Grue, then?

Are you implying that Mc and Mac are [exclusive to the Scots]?

Dr. Intarweb knows all.

Well, if "Mc" means "son of"... does that imply that your father was indeed a Grue?

Just as I suspected.

... man. I haven't posted in a long time.
