Battle System HoV Extension!

Deadline is now Sunday, June 6th 11:59 PM EST
Here are the reasons for the extension:
- I think it was unwise to propse two immediate back-to-back competitions.... now there'll be a 4 day break period to regain your wits if you wanted to compete in both.
- Pure coding competitions often are more work than the coders initially assumed. I bet half of you were already cutting features just to complete.
- I was asked by several people for an extension.

Great!
Now I can get a few hours of sleep.
And some more time for bug squashing.
Maybe I have can even implement LOS checking for ranged weapons.
Or get the AI to use spells a litte more effective.
Pathfinding could be optimized too.
And some more art for the enemies.
...
Well, I guess my sleep has to wait untill sunday.

Hrm... an extension, eh?
Unfortunately, even with the extension, it looks like I'm not going to have an entry. :/ I got quite sick this week after waffling on what sort of battle system I was going to make, and I'm going away to visit my parents on Friday so I can't even use the weekend to try to hack something together really quick.
I will be up for the next compo though, barring getting hit by a truck or something. Considering how stuff has been going the last little while, I might not be terribly surprised. @_@

Perhaps I'll attempt creating a quick'n'dirty battle system in one day to humble everyone. That, or make myself look like a fool.
Of course, since I'm already a fool, no harm in trying, right? ;)

Extension is maximum good. I'm not really playing to win here, but I know that once the deadline is past I'll lose the motivation to add much new stuff to the BS, so more time means more motivation!

I would have participated in this, but I was on vacation for the past week...I'd start now after the extension, but I'd probably end up making something else that's incomplete...so maybe next time. :D
