Oh man, I overslept. This was an unprecedented event.

And that was a lie.

The 87 HoV is now on. And being increased to 93.5 HoV. Just to be weird, and to apologize for the sleeping Six point five more hours yay.

This means all entries need to be submitted to me by Tuesday the 15th at 3:09 PM EST. You have been warned.

The Valentine's Massacre HoV only has two requirements:

1) There must be love, in some form.
2) There must be death, in some form.

Apart from that, go nuts. Remember, this is an HoV, so there's all the implicit rules like 'hay it must be constructed during this time period even if made out of pre-existing parts' and 'LOL onli verge' that if you're going to be all snarky about the whole 'only two requirements' statement that... something... bad will happen.

That is all. Go and make games.

Edit: Technically over, but Big Daddy Bubba came to me last night and showed me the true meaning of Valentine's Day. I now feel The Love. Special extensions are given to Gayo and SDHawk at a mere -5 penalty to judges scores. Awwww, yeah.

I'm so sorry

Ok so I almost followed the requirements... even if the game sucks go look at the code. animation.vc and the last few functions of player.vc have some good stuff I think. Then again I made it so my view of what’s good is probably skewed

FUNK will be a few hours late on account of the extension time being totally and utterly useless for people with school. I'm sorry. It's better than releasing half a game and then 15 patches, even if we do end up disqualified.

ai vs ai all they tend to do when is the exact same thing even to the point of walking over each other. That ends the game in a tie. :) So I never loose.

It's even better then the original bomberman AI!

But yeah, the AI could have used some work, but I decided to finish making the game instead.

Nice compo!

Now, uh... results?

Notice how I skillfully managed to not put a judging deadline in!

There will be results once I compile the Judgement Team Supersquad.

can you look into doing that, please?

This is pretty lame. I don't think I really want to partake in any more hov competitions if I have to wait so long to know the results. Hell, it looks like to me that we don't even have a team of judges yet! If we spend the time it takes to make games, you can spend the meager amount of time it takes to judge them. </pissed>

heh, agreed =D judging could take, uh, minutes.. hours...

You know what's funny? McGrue's judging of my team when I made Pushomania. It's here

Maybe next compo should be the 'judged within 24 hours of finishing' hours of Verge ;)

what I find ammusing is that being a game-tester, reviewer is nearly every kid's dream.. and it's taken this long to find some people to do just that...

pathetic
