Skall and Torquemada have released a new bugfixed version of the old v1 classic Deicide. For those of you not in the know, Deicide is a near future scifi/fantasy adventure/RPG that was definitly one of the more entertaining games of the first age of VERGE.

You can get it [here].

Skall says he'll upload it to verge-rpg.com after more bugfixing and the such.

You can read the thread concerning Deicide's revival [here].

Yeah, I think more people would be surprised that you're the one who's still alive, Torq.

I'm alive and well. And living in Brooklyn. (Wait. Does the latter negate the former?)

No. If you said Queens or the Bronx, though, you'd've been screwed.

Queens isn't so bad! Parts of it, anyway. But I live in scenic Kings County, the Williamsburg region, to be exact. I missed VERGE. It took Skall's endeavors to lure me back here. Good to see everything is still around, and with such a lovely little website, no less.

So what are you and vec and the rest up to these days? Ahh.. don't answer that here, sorry, it'll spam your board. I'll pop on #verge sometimes if it's still in the same place.

Eh, why not? These boards are for verge-related things, and I don't frequent IRC anymore personally.

vecna's working and in his free timeworking on verge 3. There's a new official point release sometime very soon.

I'm mainly working on Sully at the moment, and keeping the HoV's running. We're in the middle of a 17-day contest to make short complete RPGs. There's some other projects that will be showing up shortly (one involving a webcomic you introduced me to back in the day).

The community is small these days and growing very slowly, but at least active. I blame this mainly on lack of good docs, a lack of ease-of-entry into the community (gah, need to do a screenshots and games overview section), and probably most importantly, RPG Maker 2000. ;)

And maybe the fact that the entire dev team was missing for almost a year and a half. :P

MOAR DOCs! Ahem...

But I would like to know how I'm suposed to set the render string, the post in the help board gave 'SetRString', which verge doesn't like. Ah well, Interf. is a wealth of knowledge on map time stuff...

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
Verge-rpg.com is a member of the lunarnet irc network, and would like to take this opportunity to remind you that regardless how babies taste, it is wrong to eat them.
