1) The FAQ is currently in a state of usefulness, and Zip is in the process of finalizing it. You may see links to it around here somewhere, if you look closely.
2) Sully work continues. This has been a very productive time. Would you kids like a point release before we start working on the Battle System?
3) Thinice seriously needs to have a more available schedule. Seriously.
4) There may or may not be a new point release of the engine soon. It mainly depends on how nice you all are to vecna. I would say the best thing to show your support of VERGE and encouarge the vec-love would be to release some demos. So, if any of you want to see your engine again, lean on Interference and Toen, okay? ;)
5) The T-shirts have shipped from the Printer and are en route to the Official VERGE Merchandise Warehouse and Wholesale facility (my apartment). Mssr. Brunetto assures me that they are quite sharp. Rawr.
6) In case anyone's wondering, aen's alive and well, if you can call having a Dial-up connection living. At any rate he's been home for a while, and loves you all greatly!

Good to hear Aen's doing well. Sounds like everyone's getting busy again as fall life sets in....

Ehehehe... 'finalizing' is a little enthusiastic. Currently stars (*) or the more emphatic *TODO* mark stuff that needs answering, and there are various Zip: Need moar comments scattered around as well.

<Overkill> If I was an editor, I'd add to it.
<zip> that sounds like a threat
Also, if you're silly (or in ovk's case nice) enough to say things like this, contact me! As always, add stuff to the talkback PLEASE, all help is apreciated.

Ching-wah TSAO duh liou mahng...
Finish your gorram game, or you're going to dance with the Reavers.
See, this is how it works:
In years past, the great god vecna created the heaven and the earth and gave the peoples legs to walk on instead of magic. And yea, there was grumbling. And in these eldar days long past, there was much tribute paid to him in the form of sexy demos that kept divine morale high!
So, to prevent another Long Night from coming, we need to start burning demos in temples to him!
Please, won't you release your neat game? Wasn't tehre like just a few maps to go?

I ask a week. I can have something ready to release in a week. I was going to put it off a bit longer, but the day after I finish the system coding such that I have an actual functional game, Grue comes around asking for demos. That's a coincidence I feel uncomfortable ignoring. So I can have a working beta ready within a week.
Oh. And hi, I'm still around and still working. The rest of the TDA has left me, but since I did nearly everything anyway it's not a significant loss. Except in music, seeing as how my composer went off to study music composition and doesn't compose for me any more. I'll point out, however, that this isn't some Duskbane or Parallel 7 or anything, but just a simple, old-school style RPG that I enjoy working on in my free time.
That's all for now. Back in a week.

Simple, old-school RPGs are what we're all about here. :)
Rock on!

Just a suggestion for Sully Cronicles... How about having everybody in the VERGE community create a town/domain with their own entity/likeness in it and link them all into the plot of the game. It would not only be uber cool, it would extend the playtime of the game :)

Sully should hopefully be far enough along now that it would be significantly more trouble than it's worth.
Still, might make an interesting community project if applied to a totally new, non Sully game.

As I said in the other thread, such a "community town" is most likely not going to happen. Heck, I can't even justify putting myself in there yet, and I'm a hella egotist!
(not to say that I won't... I just haven't found the ideal place to hide ;)
As for a community demo... please do! We need more demos anyways!
