As per the rules, we have exceeded the 3 confirmed judge limit.

The confirmed judges for the 408 HoV will be:

Hahn
Miko
Zeromus
McGrue

Remember, we can spring secret extra judges on you, too. ;)

I would like to take this opportunity to remind that the physical prize will only be awarded to the first place team, and only one of the prize will be awarded to that team.

So far there seems to be a bit of activity with teams plugging away. We've entered the final 7 days, so I hope you're all over halfway done with your creations. I eagerly await playing the results of this contest!

I took a look at the calander yesterday and realized that July 4th is THIS SUNDAY.

At that moment I ran up to the computer and tiled and scripted 2 maps in one sitting. ...... ok well much of the dialog is still "PUT DIALOG HERE YOU FOOL" but atleast it's scripted

Troupe

Commence bribing and/or blackmailing of Zeromus.

I guess that's it for PR2's entry :\

Oh whew, glad I'm not the only one. I was just about to ask about whether it was too soon to start bribing/sucking up? Just as a matter of curiosity, of course.

Though you are looking mighty fine tonight, McGrue... have you been working out? And I just wanted you to know (completely unrelated to anything else in this post, of course) that this site you've built is not only slick but also masterful.

Why... yes! I have been working out a little! Thanks for noticing!

PANICPANICPANICPANIC!

In order to achieve what I set out to do in this HOV, I'm now turning friends away when they want me to come out of my house. "CAN'T TALK: VERGING."

You're living the dream, man. Living the dream.

That's what I like to hear! :D

Btw, If anyone outside of Canada or the US wins, I hope you're okay with some slow-ass shipping on the prize ;)

I've started considering not going to work. Thankfully, Thursday is a holiday here, so I've got a bit of extra time. I don't know why I do this to myself... I'm always over-ambitious. x_x;

So I noticed. *grins*

*goes back to spriting, as she has no time to be typing right now*

Kildorf is Canadian? Oooh, where from?

Tulokyn and I are over in Halifax, NS. You're from NB somewhere, right?

Gayo

Ah, Halifax. I'll be headed there in July. Nice place. I'm from Saint John, NB.

Aha... I'm originally from Charlottetown, PEI, but got displaced for University (I'm going to Dal). I haven't ever really been to Saint John, but I've been told that it's also nice. :)

Damn, looks like I won't be finishing for this thing after all. It's taken me since the release of V3 to come up with about 2 minutes of intro for my game. I've only got 3 tilesets and the game doesn't call for a 4th tileset for a while still. :-(

I think I just can't focus long enough to get stuff done. CHR art is horribly repetitive and boring, and that's what's taken up the majority of the time spent on this thing.

Don't give up! You have 4 days left! That's a lot of time... more than most HoV's have in total!

Filfre to steal sprites from Sully and the such if you need filler people. I know how terribly repetitive the process is.

I'm using Choris's old templates from his HOVs (available on v-net, I think) as a basis for all humanoid CHRs. They're HEAVILY modified but it really saves time on the old walking cycles. Hehe. If he ever pops up around here, remind me to heap much praise on him.

If you don't finish, submit anyway: I'm sure everyone wants to know what everyone else is up to, regardless of its state of completion.

Yes, even if you do not complete, I am very interested in seeing the in-progress. Perhaps there will be an Honorable Mention award.

I intended to make a boatload of old SotS chrs public as I did the tiles, but that plan somehow got lost in the shuffle. Sorry all :(

It's looking like our entry may have been a tad too ambitious as well... but I've decided that we're gonna release what we've got when the deadline hits, and then finish everything else up for a post-HoV release. :)

Gayo

Yeah, please don't all you people give up if you can't be done by the compo. I want to see lots of demos!

It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
