In a stunning piece of news actually not involving Kildorf, Overkill and I are proud to announce the addition of Galleries to verge-rpg.com

They're all nifty and such, with the amazing and astounding ability to have ordered pages and blurb texts and even be put in forum posts, as I will demonstrate in this very talkback.

Yes, now you can actually show off pictures of your games on vrpg. Sadly, it took us 5 years to figure out that games were a visual medium and pictures of them was a selling point.

On a side note, for those (three) of you keeping track of such things, this isn't the big news. More to come...

Whee! Galleries!

Ain't it neat?

Now go fill it with actually-nice pictures.

Is FAIL an acronym for McGrue's Fantastically Adequate Input Library?
Other than that, nice... but what do you put in the gallery tag?

You basically go [gallery my_gallery_tagname], replacing [] with <> though. The gallery even tells one what the custom HTML is to link to an existing gallery, if you're lazy to do it yourself.

Well, I've just started a little gallery for my game although the images are currently 'awaiting administrator's approval...'

Yargh. I may have the patience of a saint but even that ran out several hours ago in a queue outside a bookshop waiting for a book signing. No. More. Waiting!

Geez. This is vrpg, son. Myself, Gayo, or Kildorf are always on the site!

The only delay here was a little wrinkle in the admin code that you just helped squelch. Hooray for public betas.

You may create your gallery when ready.

isn't it kind of gay that the images are displayed in reverse order when you put them in a post?

Good eye.

Overkill, you got this?

Yeah, a little. Well, it sorts them by descending date order (ie. the lastest come first). I *guess* I could always just order it by the list order, but then you'll eventually never see the new images. Hmm.

Ahem.

It's always best to use the list order. That's why the list order is there.

Very well: fixed.

edit: ohh.. pending 'admin' approval... heh.. that'll die down quickly -
For another - How come I can't access/change it?

I'm think he means the blurb you write while creating a new gallery, as well as deciding which images to assign to which gallery, as I was wondering the same thing myself.

I've uploaded 2, awaiting your approval good sir(s)!

View your gallery and then look for an [edit] button! Click on the [edit] button! Edit things! :D

Overkill! Maybe we should make a gallery showing how to use the image upload and gallery system!

Hey, good idea! Shall I make it, or you?

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
