There was only one entry for the compo. As a result, it's been extended for another week, until one minute after 11:59 PM on the 13th. Submit some stuff this time, or we'll have to extend it for a month.

Which is why you're not expected to do it. If you really want to do original art you're allowed, but don't shoot yourself in the foot and complain that it hurts.

(Edit#1: These uploads were corrupt the first time, but they're fixed now. Go me.)
(Edit#2: These were just updated to fix a minor graphical glitch in the asteroid mining part of the game. You may not have even noticed it.)

may i ask the contestant not to past their work yet? so i can start mine. i've never joined a verge contest before... *sigh*

I was kind of half-joking. Hopefully this is the last extension. You might be able to arrange some sort of special further extension at a penalty, but that's something to worry about when the next deadline approaches.

My plan is to go for a run through Link's Awakening on emulator soon as I can and start harvesting.

Well, if you have basic needs there are some tilesets in the downloads section, or you can just steal the tiles from another verge game.
