The documentation is presently half-complete... the systems are by and large well documented, but I'm a bit burned out on the whole 'doccing' thing at the moment. Gayo suggested just releasing it since we've been polishing it for weeks anyway... so, here you go!

I hope y'all enjoy, and hopefully some of you will find the codebase a useful starting point and some pieces of it salvagable. In a few days when I've got more mojo I'll finish up the docs and address any bugs y'all find.

Enjoy the clam.

NOTE: The server will be going down for a few hours tonight (saturday, 2004.10.16) for some maintenance. Loretian's upgrading ye olde boxe for great justice!

All server upgrades are now complete. As you were.

There is just far too much awesome to comment on so, sadly, I'm stuck with giving a plain old: Whoa. This rocks.

Let us all praise Grue, Zip, and the rest of the Rightous League of Retrogamers(tm) for the brilliant work that they have produced.

Now get some rest man. :P

I defy you all to finish the switch puzzle in the minimum number of moves. I only did it with a step-by-step guide.

Thanks. But rest? Bah! I'm about a week behind of Lufia 2! :(

That switch puzzle makes me want to cry.

Wait... a completed Sully has been released... I guess I should probably get around to doing some of that 'releasing' thing myself... soon... <_<

Hey Grue, I just completed the demo and I found 1 bug. This happens in the Mountain Laboratory after you melt the ice around Crystal. It is specifically when Crystal and Sara have their little fight and you regain control of Darin. The problem is, if you are to take even a single step down, the path upwards is obstructed and you will be stuck forever unless you restart.

The single bug aside, this was awesome and brought back lots of memories from around 1997-98 ;). The menu system and shop system were well done, and I was surprised how many features they were packed with. The Super Mario Bros. 3-style intro was hilarious, as was a lot of the dialogue. The effect that shows when you flip the switch in Big Daddy Bubba's Loveshack is really cool...not to mention trippy. That switch puzzle in Mt. Jujube was as hard as ever(even though it's skippable) and it took me 238 switches to get through it O_o

Anyway, this should be a great introduction to people just getting into Verge, especially with the extensive documentation and all. Kind of like how a lot of us were introduced to Verge1 about 7 years ago... Damn, I can't believe it's been that long. :) Grue and Zip, you both rock.

Damn, RPGKing is right. How did I miss that. ;_;

And Lina! That's exactly what happened to me the FIRST time I played Sully, years and years ago.

Although I haven't been participating in Verge much or posting much, I check the Verge boards everyday.. And today to my suprise, Sully was released :D

I can only say I was HOLY FUCKIMG impressed by the networking capabilities. I mean, hey; I'm an idiot at coding and all that shiate so I was really incredibly awed by Verge's awesome capabilities. It was orgasmic, and even my simple mind can realise all the new possibilities this brings to a game designer.

Grue; you ROCK (will get shirt to you soon). The whole VergeDev community is very awesome indeed. I am honestly impressed.

For the interested, I'm redoing the docs in Doxygen. But slowly. Since it's released I'm not putting anymore 8 hour days into Sully ;)

This is awesome. In almost every way possible.

This is so cool! I love it.
I played through the demo at once. Took me 38 lever pulls on that puzzle. Gonna try for a perfect score next time.

The only small things I had to notice were two instances where the text didn't fit into the textbox.
the screenshots are below:

(Edit: images removed due to grue repairing the problem -Grue)

Wolf, thanks for the spots. I've corrected them.

Remember to bring Sara to the computer in Darin's parents house!

You got 38 on your first try? You bastard.

Hey people:
It would be great if I could avoid the 'Cannot find server' problem and skip right to playing this nice shiny new version of Sully. Perhaps somone could help me? I thank you in advance.
Respectfully:

It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
