Mighty ustor has blessed us with a bountiful harvest. He may not have finished the much-anticipated VERGE Wars, but while you pine for that distant day when you can blow up your friends over the internet without a DS dongle, keep yourself occupied with these three offerings.

Prismatic Arrows is an interesting puzzle game. The basic concept is familiar -- you have to get coloured shit off your screen. However, ustor takes it in a very different direction, and the result is enticing. This game is a lot of fun, and except for the conspicuous lack of mouse control, the UI is awesome. There are several difficulty levels, and your results are saved automatically. Unfortunately, there is one major flaw: it turns out that the best strategy is to position your cursor in the middle of the screen and hit enter as fast as you can. I managed to rack up 303811 points on Normal this way.

Also by ustor is Logiquelle, the perfume for Vulcans. This is another puzzle game where you destroy coloured objects, and although it uses the more conventional "match things of them same colour to make them blow up" mechanic, it's still quite cleverly done. It's a little bit random -- you can get within a hair's breadth of victory several times before finally getting the right combination of board-clearing pieces. However, there's a deceptive amount of strategy involved, and it's less of a twitch game than Prismatic Arrows. Also, I have to stress that both these games are totally gorgeous and have really nice UIs, much better than I'm used to seeing in VERGE games. Also, unlockable skins. Seriously.

Lastly, there's Reaction. All I have to say about this is that it has the keywords "warning adult naked explicit mature" in the file database.

Ustor is like a shining beacon of productivity in the Vergian Sea of Procrastination. We need more of him!

Yes, he is. IF ONLY HE WOULD FINISH VERGE WARS! ;_;.

...I'd edit that frontpage post so that it doesn't have the huge blocks of whitespace around the images, but editing is brokey right now.

"An appropriate representation of the requested resource /boards/edit_post.php could not be found on this server."

...what?!

...seriously, that's a new one to me. My loathing is high.

From a quick googling of the error, it looks like it's usually caused by patching the server with security things. I don't know if that helps or not.

Also, I have to stress that Logiquelle is a ripoff, don't know if he's given the original creator credit in his game though. Can't be arsed to download and check.

I thought that might be the case from what he said, but it wasn't totally clear so I didn't mention it in case I was mistaken.

Yeah, "Logical" goes all the way back to a c64/amiga game. It's definitely a stolen design, but I maintain that my version is superior.

Well, he does clearly state in the readme's where he got the game idea from. Besides, everybody loves a good clone :)

Reaction is *nice*, you only need to press any of the arrow keys to dodge. But I can't dodge when I'm all stunned and already focused to *where I'm supposed to dodge from*? (6_6)

I couldn't beat level one for the longest time ;__;. Also, you get an avatar by making a demo or helping the community in some awesome way (The former would also be the latter).

If you're unable to clear level 20 with a keyboard, I can recommend you try it with a gamepad, if you have one. For me, it takes it from fairly challenging to pretty damn easy. Otherwise, you'll just have to be quick about it!
