I just got off the phone with aen's dad.

Chuck is doing much, much better. He's still pretty weak, but all the danger seems to be over, and he's just recovering at this point. They're still not sure on the cause of it, but they have several ideas and they're running tests to find out what's up.

If you want to send any get well cards, please send them to:

So, all in all, it's very good news, and it looks like Chuck is going to pull through this with his body and mind pretty much intact (though there is a possibility he'll need to have his spleen removed). Whether at Quake or life, Chuck has always been a strong fighter and it looks like he's won another battle.

I shall send a postcard. Will be a novelty to get a get well message from someone many miles away that he doesn't know. :)

That's some good news, although he might lose his spleen, it could have been worst. Good recovery Chuck!

Add me to the list of happy people.

I'll probably send him a postcard too.

Congrats Aen.

very very very awesome and wicked cool:)

Aen's way: he doesn't knock on death's door, he rings the doorbell , runs and leave a suitably filled baggy, true verger style:)

Yeah - a baggy filled with his spleen... Er, what exactly is a spleen, and what does it do anyway?

It's just that it's not something that comes up on ER often. "Nurse, this man needs a complete spleen-ectomy, or else he'll DIE!"

Yay for aen. Thanks for the news, Lore. :)

And as for the spleen, some stuff about the spleen.

(Edit: Link changed because the first one I found was a crappy .asp page that only worked half the time.)

See, now there's a great idea for a get-better-soon present.

Anyone have a spleen to spare?

mcgrue

Rasis has a few hundred thousand to spare. Most of them Hahn's.
