i am new to verge and i was looking for a tutorial, and i found some at http://www.verge-rpg.com/new_user/

but the links to the website do not work... i think that the websites no longer exist. I tried to view the caches on google, but it's a big pain in the bungholio and not all the pages are cached.

it would be great if those pages were moved onto the site somehow.

thanks

Yeah, actionsketch.com subdomains are having problems at the moment. It just happened like a few days ago. Ideally, I should copy my tutorial as well as Rysen's over so it's hosted on vrpg instead. But I gotta wait until I can get access to the actionsketch so I can back things up! :/

Haha, you'd think he had a backup or a local set of files somewhere on his computer that he could give to you.

Anyway, I looked at the sully game code and i learned a lot off of that in just 3 hours!

Rysen

In fact he does :)

I'm in the process of setting up a new host for myself, so forgive the Yahoo/Geocities crapola it's just temporary.

There's a link to the tutorial there. Sorry for the delay, I'm a little disorganized at the moment, lots going on with moving files and such to a new a computer and a new host.

Figured I may as well just add this here, but I've got my host and such set up, so you can now access the verge tutorial at

http://verge.seanoyler.com

Cheers

Okay, updated the Beginners' Resources link to the tutorial. Man, I'm seriously considering purchasing my own domain just so that I don't have to keep running into Fuitadnet's retardedness. This is really getting out of hand.

yippy!

can't you just put the tutorials on this website?

Well, actually, now that I've backed up my subdomain data (for the most part), I'd be able to move it here. And if Rysen sent me his tutorial, I could host it here too, I suppose.

Looking at the dates, I just realized that my comment was over a year late. :(

Hey, look what I just recovered and placed in an easily accessible spot:

http://www.verge-rpg.com/tutorials/rysen/VergeTutorial/

And look what file it has!

Aren't I swell? And only slightly untimely?

http://rysensoft.com/Verge/

It's been 8 years since I've touched that tutorial....@_@

But I think it's all still there and works....don't know if any thing has changed much with Verge, but...it's probably still a good place to start.

I've replaced the broken link in the beginner's section with this.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
