Don't you know? Class has no place on these message boards.

Why did you kill style, onmouseover and onmouseout too? Was it because I abused the alpha filter on my sig and broke page-layouts before?

And what purpose did filtering <"class"> serve in the first place? I want my links to work McGrue. :)

Ummm... like yesterday.

Use the force, Luke.

[edit:]
Grue, couldn't you have it filter " class" (with a space) or "class =" and "class="? Perhaps also when the page is output, rather than input to avoid the multiple filters I suggested via email?

This is exactly the kind of crap filtering class is intended to prevent. However, I am trying to help, and hope the admins will forgive me.

And now back to our regularly scheduled edit message and sig:

The problem would be solved by excluding anything in the href= property from the clensing... of everything but the javascript inhibitors.

However, the problem isn't theory... the problem is that I hate regexp and refuse to spend several hours pouring over a '2 line' snippet of code. That'd be a great way for me to get fed up and end up playing videogames for the rest of the day.

I am quite willing to install someone else's clenser, something proven tried and true, or a custom jobbie from someone I deem trustworthy.

I guess I assumed there was some sort of .dat file or something you could easily edit.
A quick (and uneducated) search shows that ^regexp\.org$ (don't even know if it's the same regexp) says htmlparser is better for stipping html tags. I have no idea if this is true, or indeed applicable.

And I love a good challenge, assuming you could send or grant access to the file(?) that needed pouring over, I'd be willing to try, learning what I needed to as I go.

My grasp shall never exceed my reach, and I'm only afraid to fail to try.

El.

I need a php solution. That's java, and also the equivalent of smashing this fly with a jackhammer.

Nothing a couple of strstr()'s and strtok's can't fix.

Dude, did you send me an email? Did I respond? I'm confused.

Ya, nothing big but I just resent it. I got a failure notification which may have been it, but it looked more like spam or scam so I deleted it without opening it. Oh! And I just resent it again, changing "tag strippers", to "tag thingy" in subject, as it probably actually got junked.

Still no message. You're sending it to my vrpg account, correct?

(Edit: And it's not in my spamfile... something wrong with your SMTP? :( )

(Edit #2: I just emailed you. See if you recieve, would you?)

Quote testing...

[Edit:]

Yep, this text is definately after the last /quote tag, so it means 'quote' is giving me to many openers. A mistake in the original post being carried over?
