When the following features are added, the site's forward development will freeze and I will assemble the PHP Action Squad, whom I've been passively working with part of, and the verge-rpg.com php documentation and refactoring will occur.

The refactor is needed before Phase 2 development starts. Phase 2 of the series will be attempted in a lifeless... er, will involve implementation of the planned games, teams, and rewards systems.

The list is as follows. I will mark them off here as they occur, and give cred to the god-like men who died to make these additions possible:

  • New, improved html parser. (partway done!)
  • Search feature. (partway done!)
  • documentation print modes. (partway done!)
  • Squashing of minor bugs in the sad octopus thread.
  • Fixing of the file-archiving error that occurs when you try to deprecate a file when uploading it's replacement version.
  • Add a user-managment page to the godforsaken docs already, you goddamn lazy grue!
  • By popular demand, fix Extroversity. (partway done!)

If anyone wants to beg for a feature to be added or bug to be squashed before the freeze, now is the time and here is the place to do so.

Goodspeed, gentlemen. May god have mercy on all of our souls.

Gayo

MAKE IT SO 'CLICK HERE TO SEE YOUR POST' TAKES YOU TO THE LAST PAGE INSTEAD OF THE FIRST.

Also, an alternative 'click here to return to the forum' option would be nice.

Overkill

How about making time zone compatibility, so that I don't have to tolerate GMT times when in EST. Or would that be hard?

GMT is the sex0r.... or something..?

$today = date('F j, Y, g:i a'); // March 10, 2001, 5:16 pm

Oh and grue, the GMT is configured wrong!

Since the server is in Minnesota (right?)
it should be GMT -6 (soon to be -5);

So...

The verge-rpg.com clock is a little screwed up. It loses time as it goes, so it's always a little off.

To all involved:

The system clock is NOT a priority.

Zip

GMT roxors. Especially ZipGMT, which is fast so I get places on time. Or at least, less late.

Ummmmm.....RSS isn't updated. And yes, I actually do use it in my agregator, but more importantly, verge-net.info now uses it as well. So it'd be nice if it, you know, it was current.

Oh, yeah, and verge-net is back.

RSS should be simple to fix. I'll get to it tonight.

I am making this post at 11:10 pm, CST. If it shows up as 23:something, maybe McGrue should change the statement on the frontmost of the forums lists that says all times are GMT.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
Verge-rpg.com is a member of the lunarnet irc network, and would like to take this opportunity to remind you that regardless how babies taste, it is wrong to eat them.
