Every time I log in I get a page not found error rather than leaping back to the front page. Clicking back and then entering the forums, I seem to be logged in fine all the same. It's still irritating, though.

Odd. I cannot replicate this error at all, from any number of pages on the site, in both IE and FF.

Can you give me any more specific data on the circumstances of this error?

Er, no. Inexplicably, it's suddenly started working again. Must be my Uni screwing with the network settings again. Odd..

This problem should now be solved completely.

This still seems broken for me in Safari on the Mac. I think it's because the login success page sends a empty 'location:' header, which Safari chokes on.

Good eye. Does that happen on all pages, or just non-basedir pages?

I'm not sure what you mean, but it doesn't always happen. For example, logging in from the sidebar when viewing a forum (eg http://www.verge-rpg.com/boards/display_board.php?id=1) works, but gives an error message about not selecting a forum. It looks like a different incarnation of the same problem.

Different problem, actually.

Does the Safari problem still occur?

Yes, it still happens on the homepage. I didn't check to see if it was a blank location: header again, but it looks the same from inside safari.

It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
