Once you upload a file, should it immediately appear in the files section or does it take a while? I tried uploading a demo, and I don't see the file. Maybe the browser I was using (Firefox) doesn't work with the uploader?

I have the same problem. It seems to work for some people and not others. I haven't figured out any way around it, but it apparently works for the people who can work on the site, and I know I've seen a couple new files popping up in the downloads section recently.

So yeah, your guess is as good as mine, but at least you're not alone in the problem.

I guess this is a fairly recent issue, since I've had no problems uploading stuff in the past.

I wonder... Have you guys logged out and back in after encountering this? I have no idea what would cause it, but maybe, although highly unlikely, it's something to do with cookies or sessions or something. I had it happen to me, but then I altered the upload page's source and it worked for me.

Caching caching caching.

I should add "no-cache: no, really!" to all headers.

I tried to upload. Failure.

Then I decided to try explorer instead of Firefox. Failure.

Then I decided to restart my computer first. Failure.

Then I went on IRC and ask around. SDHawk said he didn't know and to check the board. So, I came here and saw your post, mcgrue. So, I cleared my cache and tried again. Failure.

Then I decided to clear my cache, history, cookies, everything. I tried again. Failure.

So finally, I restarted my computer, cleared -everything- again, went to the site, tried to upload, AND... failure.

I don't think cache is the issue here mcgrue...

I don't know what changed in the upload system, but all I know is that a year ago I was able to upload and now I can't.

I still have no idea what mcgrue meant when he talked about the cache (which I too tried clearing). If it is cache size that he was talking about, I have mine set at 50MB, which is more than enough for the file I wanted to upload. -_-

Yeah, mine's at 50 megs too. And I also was able to upload a year ago and not now. Are you also using firefox? I'm pretty sure I wasn't until six month or so ago. Did you also switch? Maybe something about installing firefox messes it up.

Yeah, okay. This is interesting. I'm on it...

Okay, it's definitly not working, but it's definitly not throwing any errors, either.

If anyone knows of a reliable php upload script I could modify, I'll try a whole-cloth replace.

I've got quite a bit of experience with php if you don't mind showing me the source...

So if I wanted to upload a file here, would someone be able to assist me? I had a tech demo of sorts ready since September.

Email it to me. I apparently can upload from work, but not from home. Which makes it more and more curious.

I'm nearing a v0.3 of Kambou. Might I mail it to you (mcgrue) when it's ready?
