PS: And Toen, be nice!
It's been a while since I've been part of the Verge community, but from what I remember 'niceness' wasn't exactly one of the guiding principles. In fact, I think it's safe to say that beer is the main guiding principle. ;P And crude references to your mother/sister/dog. And gay porn, of course. But mostly beer.

Eh, in general the community's rather well behaved and friendly these days.
This is, however, the unmoderated forum. ;)

It's true. We know have whole threads devoted to welcoming new people, rather than having a whole squad of jackasses who devote their time to making newbies uncomfortable. :)

Hey, those squads have their own specialized forums for people who are idiots/masochists/drunk and accidentally wander into their forum. My example being www.battle-forum.com . I joined in a fit of idiocy/masochism/drunkeness and was summarily raped by virtual dolphins. :D buncha jackasses :D

The fact that a thread named 'I like Ham' can have some 600 posts shows the true side of this community, I think. That and grue's picture on 'the sidebar' (TM)

Hey, there's nothing at all wrong with being civil.
By the way...
By Loretian:
I'm like if you took Reagan, and mixed him with Clinton, and threw in a little Nixon for good luck.
That is frightening.

I'm like if you dragged William Taft and James Garfield out of their homes and cross-bred them in a forced cloning hybrid experiment from the future with James Buchanan, AMERICA'S ONLY SWINGING BACHELOR PRESIDENT

OK, ThinIce, yes? Can I help you, son?
And, look. There's nothing wrong with being civil. But she gave us permission to not be civil. What's wrong with that?
Additionally, I'd like to point out that Reagan won the Cold War, Clinton got bjs in the oval office, and Nixon ...stole some stuff, but it helped him, until he got caught.
So, really, I mean... what's scary about that? Aside from getting caught.

Phew, glad we cleared that up. I, however, insist on being civil. It's what I do :-).
Besides, I'm civil with pretty much everyone anyway, unless I'm having a really bad day or I'm talking to someone over the phone trying to sell me something. Last time, I faked my death before hanging up. I'm gonna run out of amusing responses any time soon, ehehe.

A quest that, sadly, has little hope of completion.

Much comic genius in this thread! So I'll do an all-encompasing laugh and then go on to say that my music is better than zaril's and I'm much sexier.
Although he's better at programming.
But programmers are ugly.
And gay.

Hi.
Man, programmers aren't gay. They're asexual.

If sexuality is determined by activity, you may well be right Kildorf. I need to get back into programming...
