Translation: will you please all flame me to get my wretched ham thread up to 400 posts?

But I'm not going to because it was a generalised insult, not aimed at me specifically. Therefore I can take no offence at such a statement, and neither can anyone else really... :p

Surely he meant these cocks which in a technical sense we all suck while eating. (excepting vegetarians, or those few who may simply dislike cock)

By the way, I'd like to formerly thank you and your people for Red Dwarf. Beer milkshakes? Lister is his own father? Rimmer? Kryton vacuuming! Sheer brilliance. To me, that completely makes up for that whole little spat we had about tea a few years back. I'm saving Faulty Towers in case you guys do something that really pisses us off, like try and add a tax to our coffee or something.

El

PS: You're a shmeeee heeeeeee, oh forget it. ;)

Red Dwarf was one of our best sitcoms (not as good as Blackadder though), but series VII and later were a bit crappy compared to the earlier ones... "ME2" from series 1: Best. Episode. Ever. There's a Red Dwarf movie in production right now, and no doubt it will suck.

Damn, I'm contributing to the ham thread again. El, that was unfair of you to mention Red Dwarf and politics in the same post. How could I resist replying? :)

I don't recall ME2 by name, but agree with what you wrote. (especially RE Black Adder (but how is it: Black Adder/Mr. Bean == Sex/Glass Shards in Eye)) The first few seasons were far superior to the last few. Here (in Seattle at least) they run all the episodes in a marathon when they buy the rights to air them (thank you PBS, no commercial interuptions), all in one or two days, so it's hard to absorb them and they all kind of run together. (damn, much like my sentences)

And as for ham, my love for it has not yet waned, my love for discussing it surely has, therefore note new title.

No, it was NOT edited by the author 1 second after having posting it. I think the thread simply wants to die. And be Buried. Like perhaps in a graveyard of some sort. Anyone know of any graveyards? Or am I being to subtle? Even unmoderation is best used in moderation sometimes. Or is it the only thing constant is change? Or was it "Lisa, I think the veal may have died of loneliness, if that helps any."

I did, but I never will again...

El: Blackadder > Mr Bean because Richard Curtis wrote Mr Bean on his own, whereas he co-wrote Blackadder with Ben Elton, who is actually a very funny writer and stand up comedian. And of course the characters in Blackadder are just so much better than the boring nobodies in most other sitcoms anyway.

And my previous post also says it was edited one second after it was posted ... I think the thread is doubly determind to die. And I think burying it in a graveyard of some sort is a wonderful idea.

Every read Rob Grant's "Colony"? Written by Red Dwarf's co-creator, its really rather good. Odd, quite different from RD but really rather good.

No, but I've wondered ever since I read the back of a copy in Waterstone's, how does someone whose sole physical presence is a head and a spine actually DO anything in that book?

The RD novels that he wrote (with Doug Naylor?) were pretty good, though Backwards seemed to be a rather bizarre mishmash of various random episodes from random series of the sitcom. But the first one, whatever it was called, I liked a lot because it explained much that you didn't get to know just from watching the programme. Marvellous.

Trust me, buy the book. Being a head and a spine isn't so bad.
