Omni here got himself an Ebay bid on a Sega Saturn set with a whole lot of neat goodies.
More importantly, he found himself an auction for Radiant Silvergun...like, the only one, for $160.00, ending in two days...
He wants that game, but he's not sure about the price...every copy of RS seems to go for an incredibly high price on Ebay...

I was about to say that the only good thing about Radiant Silvergun is the soundtrack, but I think I'm thinking of Elemental Gearbolt.

Isn't Radiant Silvergun kind of a forerunner of Ikaruga? Because Ikaruga is wicked slick.

Yes, its exactly that.
One of the few times I played Radiant Silvergun, in college, I had an audience of like 15 people in my dorm room all sort of going "holy shit". They had never really seen anything of the sort at that time. All the time its "wow it cant get any harder than that OH MY GOD ARE THEY SERIOUS" and we all laughed at how crazy those damn japs are.

Elemental Gearbolt was pretty fun, Grue.

I have Ikaruga...which is bloody awesome, though I seem to have trouble convincing my friends.
And thus I go on my pilgrimage search for what came before Project RS-2...
And the Radiant Silvergun soundtrack rocks, yes it does.

Bah! The only good lightgun game is a dead lightgun game!

No, no, light gun games are also on my search list. Good for evenings in college...when I, uh, feel like shooting people.
I only know of House of the Dead and Virtua Cop 1/2 for the Saturn, though. Is Gearbolt another one? Are there any more? Why is there a Saturn Namco GunCon, but no Saturn Time Crisis?

Treasure, the makers of Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga, also made an awesome Saturn game called Guardian Heroes. I remember having lots of fun with the versus mode in that game. ;)

I know about GH, but I'm not sure about how much money I'm willing to put into this thing. I've already dumped near $300 into this, and stuff like Radiant Silvergun can go for $200 alone.
Shining Force 3? I've heard it's good, but that's all I've heard about it. That, and it used the Saturn sound SH1 processor as an additional graphical processor. Or something.

Shining Force III is an incredible strategy RPG. If you like FFT and such things, you MUST get it because it rocks. Hard.
Also if you're cool* you can import the 2 other chapters that weren't released here!
*And fluent in Japanese.

Well....it has arrived...
The person I got it from really, really...liked sports games. Oh well.
The good news is, NiGHTS is awesome, Virtua Cop is good, I can't help but smile at Darius Gaiden, and Die Hard Trilogy makes me laugh (...). If I could get House of the Dead, Virtua Cop 2, the Panzers, maybe, maybe even Saga, Guardian Heroes, Burning Rangers, Marvel Super Heroes (maybe), King of Fighters 97 (maybe)...
well, anyway, there are a lot of games I'd like to have, obviously. Although...I did place a winning Ebay bid on Radiant Silvergun. :-D Which cleaned me of US $188.50... :-C

The first Guardian Heroes was fun! I didn't know they made others. That was probably the most advanced console game I ever got into.

Guardian Heroes is an orgasm in disk form. Sadly, I've heard that the GBA version coming out next year is looking pretty shitty.
Edit: NANDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not a port, it's just another game in the...uh...series, now, I guess. Do you know if Treasure is behind it?
