Well his avatar depicts quite excellent skin flute abilities.

Hahaha. Ah, when I changed the postcount display from total messages in a thread to total replies in a thread, I overlooked the effects on the pagecounters in display_thread.php.

That change was made at your request.

Also, the flute/penis joke? That's about as old as your mom jokes. And your mom is the oldest of them all. Hahahaa.df.

Grue, make a recording!

But I can't believe none of that music stuck with you... I can sing every song on the sound track by heart (of course, that may be because I own the sound track, and my game was over 70 hours when I beat it).

For realy, the only Xenogears music I can remember is on Creid, and although a lot of it is technically impressive, most of that CD does nothing for me.

Although, if we're talking about remixes, Wild Arms Alter Code F's soundtrack tickles my pickle.

Hrm, that was me up there. I guess I can't argue with you if you're not a big fan of the Xenogears music, but I think its really incredible. After listening to Uematsu's work (ff4, some ff7), I completely reaffirmed my belief that Mitsuda is the best. Uematsu is good, don't get me wrong, but his music just doesn't strike me with the same beauty as Mitsuda's.

Oh yeah, and I really like the music for Wild Arms 3, its got some great western RPG music =D

Xenogears was good, but I agree with Grue in that there wasn't a whole lot that stood out for me. Although I am listening to "Small two of pieces" as I'm writing this. ;P

Personally, I think Chrono Cross was Mitsuda's best PSX soundtrack.

Anyone ever play "Live a Live"? The end battle music for the sci-fi chapter was great. I'll have to try and find an SPC music file of it or something.

Other SNES tunes that were great:

+ The Plok! theme tune! That sounded absolutely awesome. The bass and harmonica thing they had going on was outstanding.

+ Chrono Trigger's credits music. That made me weep tears of joy when I finished that one.

Favourite game soundtrack of all time? Currently, its Ocarina of Time. Full appreciation of this can only be truly gained if you've heard the Hyrule Symphony remix CD, which gives a few of the tunes a symphonic, real-instrument overhaul. Utter magic.

Also, I have a Nintendo CD of fully orchestrate music from Super Smash Brothers Melee and a selection of other Nintendo games that sounds outstanding. The rendition of the Zelda theme is utterly amazing.

My god, apparently Grue's modifications caused him to triple post! Oh no wait...

You people are all wrong about Xenogears, its the greatest thing of all time. Although after listening to some ff5 music, I realized that Uematsu is really badass. Also, Chrono Cross did definately have some great music. However, I'm not sure if it was better than Xenogears.

Lord God, I hope this doesn't double-post.

Must bump thread.

Red XIII's theme. ;_;
Man with a Machine Gun. ;_;
THE VELDT

Also that really beautiful string chord song from Chrono Cross where you fight Miguel. I forget what it's called, though.
