Maybe you're right, it's difficult to say. Obviously the Nazis could never have occupied Russia as they did with France, but that wouldn't have been necessary -- taking out the government would have been enough, as evidenced by Russia's withdrawl from WWI after the bolshevik coup. The Russians themselves would have been happier out of it, the soldiers most of all, especially after taking such huge losses, and freezing and starving to death etc. Also while reading up on the subject I found the following quote:
"New testimony and documentary evidence can now reveal that Stalin was seriously considering suing for peace and had even organised a 'getaway' train to take him to safety as German guns started pounding Moscow"
It didn't say what the new testimony and documentary evidence actually are, but a reliable source nonetheless. So it would seem the Germans were pretty close to their goal as it was, and I still think that had they gone earlier, if they hadn't had to go and prop up the failed Italian invasion of Greece there may have been a different outcome. But again, who can say for sure?
As for my comment about the Germans being superior in every respect other than numbers, the T-34 was maybe an oversight, though the Germans had the Tiger and Panther by '43...

I just wanted to add an epilogue to this thread.
Following my entry into college and taking Loretian's advice regarding Drudge Report, a new variety of news sources, and ideological open-mindedNESS, I have proceeded to meet considerably more cute conservative girls on campus.

Oh, well, no, the college wasn't humor, and meeting cute conservative girls wasn't exactly humor either.
...er, in fact, most of that stuff is pretty much true.
Though as I aside I also met a Libertarian.

I can't say I've noticed a dramatic difference in political opinions and how cute a girl is, but I can say most of the time when you see a skank, they're usually a liberal, and it was their liberal viewpoints that got them where they are. Same thing with bad drivers.
