Mythril, how did you hide the text for items on the right side of the start menu?

Also, where'd you get that XP theme? It looks cool and translucent plasticky.

Go here, then click on the Chrome4[] 2G link.
Also you need special themes for the start menu to be compact.

It's magenta, apparently. Yikes.

Here's an (old) pic (different apartment) of my desktop (literally).

I do have two monitors, and while the 2nd monitor does have an adjustment period where you don't really know what to do with it - like if you grew a third arm or something - eventually you get reliant on it and its hard and painful to use only one monitor.

I'd take an actual screenshot of my desktop, but I'm lazy, and 3200x1200 makes a big image. Maybe later.

Myself, if I had a third arm, I can think of all kinds of cool things to use it for. Like jacking off while doing jumprope or something. :D

Vecna knows whats up with the dual mons. I have found tons of uses for my second monitor already, and I've only had it a day. Right now I've got the v-rpg site open on one, IRC on the other. My secondary monitor is my chat monitor, and its very handying for dragging files around from folder to folder so you dont have to keep navigating all around and cutting/pasting. I also played some Morrowind with IRC open on the right, so I could see incoming message, which was neat. By far the coolest and most useful thing I have done, however, is running MPT on one and Renoise on the other. Mega productivity increaser! And it makes multi-tasking so much easier. In summary, dual monitors are excellent. Quit fooling yourselves and buy moar mawnitorz.

Chrome4[] 2G looks good...but the menus aren't translucent on my PC. I originally turned most menu fade and animations off, and turning them back on didn't help, so, I dunno.

Hmm, nevermind! I figured it out, and found some great utilities, such as Yz Shadow, Toolbar, and Dock (Yz Dock seems to be a bit faster and smoother than Objectdock, in my personal opinion.

You have a very clean desktop, vecna! Though I'm sure you just put all your stuff in a pile behind you while taking the photo. ;)
I have a small room, so I don't really have enough space to have a second monitor and still have space left to put my deskfilling garbage.. :P

My ideal setup would have around 6 monitors. I am obviously a bi-product of the Reagan years ;)

3 monitors is my short-term goal, however. The left one would be perpetually open to the reference site of choice for whatever language I'm codeing in the center panel, and the rightmost panel would have all the miscellaneous chaff: IMs, music, prawns, etc.

At the moment I'm at a single 21" running at 1600x1200 that I sit about 2.5 feet from because I have a huge desk. This is a security measure since this makes me the only one able to read anything on the screen, even if they are right next to me ;)

Also, I miss my dualmon :(

No, my desktop is blue and most of my buttons and things are pink. However, my title bar and "empty background" colours are both magenta. I would upload a pic if I had a place to put it, but I do not.

If you're asking me, I believe it's 1900x1200.

Your work desktop has a bunch of Pantera videos? Don't your employers mind? And whats wrong with downsizeing the image for all of us with only teeny tiny ones?
