"However, it is ironic that Verge3 is not open-source, and not Linux-compatible :)"
All Verge3 games (that I have personally tried) work in Linux if you use the 'wine' program to run them through. The only thing that does not run on Linux through Wine is the maped3 program, mainly because of the .Net structure (which also gives me problems in Windows randomly). Though I like Verge, it was a bit disappointing to me when it piggybacked on the .Net bandwagon.

Uhm, actually, Verge is both open-source and Linux-compatible now. Statements made in 2004 don't necessarily hold 4 years later! :D
There is no Linux binary on this site, but you can build one from the Makefile in the SVN repository. It works for the most part! And as far as I know, maped3 can now compile under mono so you can use it in Linux. I need to try this at some point.
But anyway, I know verge compiles and runs for me under Ubuntu. And probably works in other distros. So using WINE is sort of pointless for the most part now XD
The only thing stopping sully from working is file case-sensitivity. But there are plenty of other games that work just fine under Linux Verge.

This is the strangest thread resurrection I've ever seen. But here we are, PS3 and C/C+ for the win.

Now, someone port it to 360 so I can play Sully Chronicles there instead!
