7. The contest will conclude at 11:59 PM EST on Thursday, June 3rd.
Excuse my ignorance, but can someone tell me what EST is in GMT?
Could it be GMT -05.00 ?
And to which adress should I e-mail my Battlesystem? Or is it okay if I upload it to the files section?

you know, as far as prizes go, heres a few ideas...
-get falthorn to make a cool avatar for the winners
-give em a sneak peak at sully
or you could make v3 t-shirts and give em out to winners, oh man I want a v3 tshirt... thatd rock

Ooooh.. I like those ideas. But a T-Shirt thing would be hard to pull off with all the internet paranoia going on today. Personally I dig the inclusion of a chr of you in Sully. But I know that that's been done, so I guess we should look for something else...

"I don't want to give you my address to send me my t-shirt because I am afraid you will come and rape me."
Although nevermind me, becuase there are more secure ways to do it etc. But I still want a VERGE T-Shirt.
i am ded serios.
HI I AM TROUPE. PLEASE DISREGARD THE NAME TO THE LEFT OF THIS POST (OR RIGHT MAYBE, DEPENDING ON THEME).

I just uploaded my entry for this contest here:
TaBU Battlesystem(around 7MB. 90% of the file are three mp3 songs. If this file is to large for somebody, I'll upload a version without music. Just give me a note)
I would have prefered to work a few more hours on it, but I just lack the time at the moment.
I hope my system doesn't offends the judges taste to much.

Buckerman, you do have another day. Or is the lack of time meaning tomorrow?

Buckerman! Your entry is awesome. It seems complete to me, even without the extra day to work on it. But your music files were preposterous. I would have rather gotten out my Torment CD and ripped the music files myself. Thankfully Rage gave me a non-music version. But I would like to know what bitrate those things were at. Have you considered converting them to .ogg? In either case, you should upload a new version for 56kers like myself (and Alexandir).

Look here for a version of my Battlesystem without music(around 600k).
I should've uploaded this version already yesterday, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I can remember the times when I had only analog internet access myself (not so long ago). But I was so tired yesterday, I just wanted to upload that thing and go to bed.
Regarding the music, 192 kps at 44 khz. Downloaded some time ago directly from the Interplay website. I'll consider converting it to OGG for the next version.
[Edit: Damnation!
I uploaded the test version. Please, before starting the game, open system.vc and change
iEnemyCount = 1; //5
at line 51 to
iEnemyCount = 5; //5
if you want to have more than one enemy for the first battle.]

Damn, was already downloading the version with music as you posted. Still, nice music despite the unholy sound quality.
But you have made an excellent battle system, and one that I'm sure will have as good a chance as any of winning the competition. Very impressed.
I was doing great until cheaty RageCage came along with his cheaty spell and nuked my entire party... cheater. I'll get you next time Rage, just you wait!

Alex, you are a pathetic noob. I slaughtered RageCage brutally, savagely, and without mercy. Thank you, Buckerman, for allowing me to use VERGE developers to kill my best friend.
Also, thanks for uploading the smaller version, and awesome work on the battle system!

Leave me alone. I only got caught out because I didn't notice him until too late. I slaughtered him the next time though. McGrue got him with one hit. :)
Buckermann, you are a geineous. And yes, thank you for allowing us ALL to kill Troupe's best friend with Verge developers.
