Signing up, recovering accounts, and other things of that nature are temporarily down. All should be well within a day or so.

Honest!

(also, the evil pagination error seems to be gone. One hopes forever!)

just want to report some error.

i'm using Firefox for Windows (XP Pro), as I tried to log out, my browser prompted

The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

I'm just adding to creek's error:

It also mentions that this could be happening because you're not letting it accept cookies. B'uh?

the funny thing is that I could login.

isn't the sessions here in verge site are handled with cookies?

so how would i be blocking cookies?

Kildorf

Exactly. Obviously we can both log in, since we're posting. :) And the weird thing is that it really does log you out, too, even though it gives you an error.

I imagine it's just trying to print out some weird redirection headers that Firefox doesn't feel good about.

so it does happen to you too.

tried to update firefox yesterday and it said that "no updates available"... I think they should know about it to check it out themselves...

I think I know what's going on. I'll check it out at my first opportunity.

Is gallery editing supposed to be broken at the moment? I can't seem to edit my gallery. I get the following:

Not Found

The requested URL /edit_gallery.php was not found on this server.

What? Hm, strange. I don't get this problem. Try again? Also, tell me where you're clicking the edit link from.

got another one:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: getalphacount() in /www/verge-rpg.com/user/all_users.php on line 96

...was just trying to edit my profile when I accidentaly clicked directory.

Er... yeah. That one. That's been there for a long time. I forgot about that!

The gallery thing: I'm using Mozilla Firefox. The link in question is on the page that comes up when you click "make a gallery" from the main page. I have one gallery (the Perceptions one) and on clicking the "Edit Gallery" link I get the aforementioned error. The link address is http://www.verge-rpg.com/edit_gallery.php?id=14 if that's any help.

Overkill

The link is blatantly wrong. http://www.verge-rpg.com/edit_gallery.php?id=MYID should be http://www.verge-rpg.com/gallery/edit_gallery.php?id=MYID

Why isn't it ouputting correct links? I'll check.

EDIT: Grah, fixed. I guess that's been a problem for some while now. :D

Also, I didn't say earlier, but I think I fixed the user listing for the most part. Except it bitches about pagination stuffs when you try to do a username search (Warning level, meaning you still get your search results, but get evil warning tables). Ah well, I might have to get Grue to look into that one.

Yay, it works great now. I have, however, spotted a typo in the edit page you might want to correct:

(A simple yet unique reference name for your image. Up to 20 characters. Only only letters, numbers and - and _ allowed.)

Bold type there for clarification: repetition of the word "only." Woops. Other than that, fantastic.

Ack, another "issue." I uploaded a couple of screenshots for Perceptions just before the gallery funkiness. They've been approved and I added them to my gallery's screens only to find the full-size version of them isn't showing properly: I'm just getting the 404 blue image instead.

Did they get lost in the post or something?

Posted on 2006-04-09 17:13:48

Overkill

Um, well, that problem is stupid and it's happened before, but I think it was resolved shortly after the move, so try reuploading any images that 404 for you. Then repost them, and delete the old ones from your page.

Ok, I'll go give that a shot..

i was emailed that the link to the VC editor (TriPViCEd) i made is broken. when i tried clicking on the link i got the message ONOES!

was it really meant to be removed then?

Wop. Hello, me again. My gallery is working super-fine now. Cheers. One last thing, though: how do I get rid of the invalid references to the 404'ed images from my uploaded images list? And their associated thumbnails?

You ask an admin nicely!
