Wow. Chrono Trigger is seriously the only RPG you've ever finished...in your life? What the heck attracted you to the VERGE community then, which highly revolves around RPGs? :P

I've only finished 1 rpg in my life...... Chrono Trigger, my next of kin is Earthbound...

That's pretty funny. Chrono Trigger is the only rpg I have finished in my life as well. ;_; I got pretty far in ff4... but the game got all screwy and I was unable to finish it. ;_;

I don't think I finished any snes game. For that matter, I don't think I've finished a pure rpg on the megadrive.

[Edit: Or, for that matter, any shopecode]

Overkill

Wow, I suddenly feel accomplished to have beaten Final Fantasy 3, Secret of Evermore, Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Final Fantasy 7, Legend of Mana, Final Fantasy Tactics and Chrono Cross. But that's still way less than the average RPG game.

I have yet to beat Disgaea, SaGa Frontier 1-2, Star Ocean 2, Xenogears, 7th Saga, Illusion of Gaia, Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy 1-2, Final Fantasy 4, Final Fantasy 8-10, and Chrono Trigger. ;_;. All games I bought, but have yet to complete.

All of you should go out right now and purchase Wild Arms. Most wonderful tile-based RPG ever. And Western/Fantasy!

True that.

I've only finished Chrono Trigger, FF7 and SMRPG.

It's weird that I finished FF7 because I liked it way less than any of the SNES ones.

My list isn't that long either I think. The few I can remember having finished:

Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana
Lufia 1
Lufia 2
Final Fantasy 2

Completed (* = extra beating, complete from start to finish)

FF, FF4******, FF5*, FF6*, FF7**, FF8**, FF9, FF10*, FF10-2*, FFMQ**, FFL1, FFL2, FFL3, FFT, SoM****, SD3, CT****, Xenogears.

Phantasy Star 4*

Shining Force 1, Shining Force 2

Wild Arms**, Wild Arms 3

Lufia 1

L:SSSC and L:EBC

7th Saga

The Sully Chronicles**************

Got to the last battle of Paladin's Quest, but had to return the rental

Have played BoF 1-4, never got past midpoint.

Have played Lufia 2 MANY times, never get past the Ancient Dungeon. IT IS ADDICTING.

Got to the final dungeon of Chrono Cross, so disgusted by the game by that point I stopped playing. A year later I destroyed the discs out of hatred and disappointment. Was sober at the time.

At last dungeon of Xenosaga, no desire to continue.

Have played Dragon Warrior 1-4. Got to the last dungeon of 1, halfway through 2, and not very far into 3 or 4.

Only halfway through Diver Down.

Only halfway through Valkyrie Profile.

Only partway through Star Ocean 2, Azure Dreams, FFTA, Ogre Battle, Treasure Hunter G.

FF4 and SoM got replayed so much because I was going insane waiting the years for FF6 to come. And FF6 was a total disappointment because of the built up hype and expectations and NINTENDO POWER LIES.

But then Chrono Trigger came and I was happy again.

Of note is that two of the FF4 replays were to level 99 with everyone. Because a friend saved over my first level-99 save. The bastard.

And in all those times, I've never gotten a pink puff... though I have gotten *Imp and *Bomb.

I think I've forgotten some games, but that's the master list.

I really haven't played much lately... most of this list was done in years past. The most recent binge was several months back for FFX-2. I'm presently playing through Valkyrie Profile VERY slowly. After that, I'll either attempt Lufia 2 again, or Start in on Suikoden 1.

Haha, no kidding. I've beat Lufia 2 a few times over but mostly I end up playing until I get to the Ancient Dungeon. Anyway, if you beat the game twice you unlock both an 2xExperience mode and a mode where you solely play the Ancient Dungeon (you can't leave the island).

<3 that dungeon.

I've actually beaten the american version of FF4 in 11 hours 26 minutes...

And the sad thing was, I didn't do it on purpose! I didn't even realize it until my brother pointed out the time on the save screen, hehe!

MudGolem

None of you finished Chester Cheetah's Wild Wild Quest?

That's sad, and you guys call yourselves gamers.. best rpg ever.

--

I hate blue mimic chests. Those guys and big dragons later on or people with kill everyone at once attacks almost always killed me doing the ancient dungeon. ;(

Suikoden 1 is sex! You better start that series Grue.

I've finished... Let's see... Xenogears, FFX, FFX-2, Suikoden 1, Suikoden 2, some other stuff? Oh. Arcanum. <3 Arcanum.

Gayo

I always spend like 4 hours levelling Cecil alone on Mt.Ordeals when I play FF4. My goal is always to get him to level 40, because then everybody else will be level 40 when they join.

Gayo! Yes!!!

I always do that! ^_^;

You could level Cecil to 40 on Mt. Ordeals? Wouldn't that take forever?
