For anyone who hasn't caught a glimpse of this amazing-looking realistic Zelda game for the Gamecube, go to www.gametrailers.com NOW. This is quite a surprise, as I expected another cel shaded Zelda game. And best of all...Adult Link is back!

I love me some sweet non cell-shaded Zelda!

Hot damn, I'm excited. That looks AMAZING. Windwaker was great, this should be brilliant.

Fable I tell you, Fable! Zelda will be as nought in comparison.

You must be INSANE. Shigeru Miyamoto and his team of Japanese geniuses cannot be beaten for sheer fun.

Peter Molyneux will crush Miyamoto like the tiny Japnese bug that he is. HEIL FABLE.

If Peter Molyneux is going to crush Miyamoto like a bug, I hope it will be televised so that we may all witness it and laugh heartily. This justice must be done.

Peter Molyneux has no place in this thread. And besides, Shiggy will humiliate him once 2005 comes around. Miyamoto can never be crushed. His legacy as a veteran innovative game designer is unmatched.

As the creator of the "god" game, and a supreme innovator in everything he does, Molyneux has Miyamoto beat. But then, everyone other than ELECTRONIC ARTS has Miyamoto beaten for innovation. For all he does is rehash an endless stream of Zelda and Mario games every 2 years.

Those rehashes usually contain more new ideas than 95% of other games tho. (Splinter Cell? Tom Clancy's Inferior Thief 2 Clone more like) and can you really blame him? Anytime he tries to do something new or interesting, people just moan at him. Look at Wind Waker!

People moaned at Molyneux too, and game publishers wouldn't touch his early games because they were too different. But this didn't lead him to creating the same formulaic nonsense that everyone else was doing.

Mis dos pesos...
One thing I really like about this planet, is there are 6,427,747,527 (and counting) people on it, all of whom have thier own opinions. There is plenty of room for the same-old-same-old, and brand-new-good-for-you both. I look at it this way: if it weren't for the "stupid" people with "stupid" opinions, I (and you all) would merely be average. I don't mean this to imply any of you are stupid in my opinion, nor is it directed at any person or persons here, but I am merely commenting. I for example do not understand the fascination with Tetris, but cannot deny it holds quite a bit to others. I'm sure I hold opinions few if any of you would understand or agree with, and am glad that, for the most part, it does not prevent us from appreciating that which we have in common.

Christ! OK, it's true that Fable will be something to behold, but don't go rubbing it people's faces.

Zelda is cool too, especially when you don't have an X-Box, but do have a Gamecube. Zelda won't be as realistic as Fable, but I'm sure it'll still be fun. And fun is what sells games.

Alright, no more fanboyish statements. Let's just wait and see, when the games actually release, before making judgement. Sorry, just had to say a few things.

But informed (or otherwise) debate is what discussion boards are for! McGrue, close down the boards, people are discussing!

But seriously, I'm sure the next Zelda game will be astoundingly magnificent for those people who like Zelda. I was simply trying to get across a point about innovation. By wishing death on Miyamoto. Oh well, never mind then...

EDIT: Anyway, I'm sure we're all being lighthearted in our savaging of Zelda/Fable/Miyamoto/Molyneux, aren't we?

In the trailer it looks like combat will be slower and less actiony. The combat in Windwaker was one of the things they did right. Also, I can't tell if the world is free-roaming like windwaker or not. I am hoping so. Sailing around and doing random crap was the other thing Windwaker did right.

Yeah, of course. I say we make this a big fanboy thread and have little wars to piss people off.

"OMG LINK ARE THE ADULT!! FABLE IS SUX! LOL, PS2 SUCKS AT GRAPHICS! I AM A GRAPHICS WHORE"

* Above statement is said out of sheer stupidity.

I don't know anything on Fable...haven't heard much about it. Sudeki sounds a bit more interesting. Xbox, as much as I hate Microsoft, has some great games (which I'd love for them to port to PS2 and Cube so I don't have to buy an Xbox).

Plus I've been waiting for the return of Adult Link. So yeah. Nothing but a terrible disaster could make me not want the new Zelda SO bad. Cause I want it So bad.
