These two posts early on were already being blatantly incendiary. It's already obvious that there's no room for intelligent debate when this kind of flaming is posted. I know I replied with a similar flame, but I was just going with the flow :P Speaking of which...this topic was never meant to be a debate topic. -_-
I never should have coded up this delete button. This thread is making me itch something fierce.
Must... stay... unmoderated...

Now you're just blatantly trying to be incendiary.
Only an artless, soulless man wouldn't like Yoshi's Island.
And, by the way, for someone complaining about a lack of innovation in Shiggy's works, that was a poor game to bring up for your case.
Yeah I meant Yoshi's Story, but I wasn't especially talking about Miyamoto then anyway, or I would probably have chosen Earthbound, which was the RPG equivalent of lying in a bath full of paint stripper.

Anyway, I'm sure we're all being lighthearted in our savaging of Zelda/Fable/Miyamoto/Molyneux, aren't we?
But I'm gladdened to see that no one has objected to my flaming of EA, which was meant, wheras the flaming of Miyamoto wasn't. Though the criticism certainly was.
EDIT: And still is.

You're Feywood, aren't you? Admit it!

I admit nothing. I almost went to New Zealand once though, but ended up opting to stay home to look after my dog while the rest of my family went and enjoyed themselves. Hey, I've just cast myself in a new caring light!
EDIT: Though Miyamoto still needs to be crushed like a ... never mind. Fable rocks!
And... what's all the fuss about adults? Do you Zelda players think Miyamoto invented adults or somthing? In Fable you will start out as a child and progress to be an adult. Fable wins. :D

Lets see... you registered in 2002, and Feywood hasn't been seen since, what, 2000?
...so, how'd you know he's a Kiwi?
Lurker or intarweb doppleganger... THE PLOT THICKENS.

Molyneux has innovated yet again by inventing children becoming adults!

Yes, what an imagination that man has!
Grue: I have to admit to being a lurker before now, and before then too. So did Feywood hate Miyamoto too, or am I missing the point entirely here?

C. M. Dratz:
I doubt the song will be going into the final version. It was a promotional video will filler music. This happens all the time; It's like how one of the trailers for Lord of the Ring had some Requiem for a Dream music, even though Frodo really isn't shooting up.
Whither or not Big N paid for the rights to use the music remains to be seen, tho. Could go either way. The trailer for that World of Tomorrow movie had Stargate music! Everyone I saw Secret Window with thought I was a huge dork for mentioning it.

You guys are taking this way too seriously, me and Alex are just having fun.
Plus, Fable totally rocks Zelda.
But come on, none of these posts are "flames", far from! We are just debating stuff about video games, which relates to VERGE, therefore you should not delete this thread.
By the way, Fable rocks. But not Zelda. They both rock.
Rocks.

Appealing to McGrue not to delete this thread because it is tenuously Verge-related is probably a lost cause, for the repeated quoting ad nauseam of nonsensical rambling has absolutely nothing to do with Verge, yet it's been Golden Clammed! So I think he must be suffering from a particularly bad case of grue-ish dementia right now...

Ok.
1. Peter Molyneux != Miyamoto
2. EA's management are a bunch of souless bastards. The sooner this company is consumed in a hideous wasting fire the better. It consumes the most talented games makers, milks them for all they're worth and tosses them aside (Westwood studios, RIP). Also, the Sims expansion packs are inexcuseable.
3. Black and White was crap.
4. Miyamoto does more than just Mario, Metroid and Zelda games. He's worked on everything from Waverace to Super Smash Bros.
5. Many people assume a large quantity of games that have a wealth of "sequels" are crap solely on the grounds that these days certain games studios (*cough*EA*cough*) are using such a tactic for easy money. The long list of recent James Bond games stands as a testament to this. Its not completely true, however, and Nintendo tend to make "sequels" that really do surpass their previous incarnation (usually). In the case of Zelda - for anyone who finished Wind Waker - the series continues because there's still a story to tell.

1. Molyneux=Miyamoto? They're the same person? I KNEW I'd never seen them in the same room together...
3. You are mistaken, sir! Black and White is not crap. It's not the best game ever, but it can hardly be described as crap, for all the reasons that I would give if I could be bothered.
4. Miyamoto does indeed do more than just Mario, Zelda etc. But he still has his fingers in at least ten sequel pies at any one time.
5. More badness from EA: There's a new 007 game in development called Goldeneye: Rogue Agent. They can't even be subtle about it... I wonder how many copies of that will sell simply because people will assume it's a follow up to Rare's Goldeneye on N64. Sickening.
EDIT: Though it might be a decent game for all I know. In which case: Not so sickening.

"!="! As in "not equal to." Judging from that quote, Midsummer's code is probably quite interesting to look at.
Sorry, but in my learned opinion B'n'W was terrible: it was Populous the Beginning meets Tamagotchi and was intensely irritating. The idea was a good one but the interaction between God and pet was poorly realised. As the foundation of the game, I felt it fundamentally failed from the ground up.
And what the hell is WRONG with sequels: my point is you should only fear a bad one.
