Also, I'm not sure Omni has plans on using verge, while you actually seem to. ;)

Hey! Can we stop the Omni potshots? It's not like I'm not working on anything. More like I'm not working on anything...um...right now. Or working intensely, anyway. Programming's constantly on the edge of the mind.

Why do you care, random anonymous man? :D

Also, who's bashing?

It hurts when people imply I don't care like that...

Have you released a demo yet? You've been registered for over half a year now! You should earn your wings... er... avatar!

Yes, yes you do.

Oh? That's all? I should give form to one of my ideas, then, while I'm neglecting the good ones, trying to make them perfect.
I think it should be mentioned here that the new Verge has one important irregularity that I noticed. I think I used the materials for non-releasemode EoS for this: the inclusive inequalities less-than-or-equal-to and greater-than-or-equal-to must have the equals sign second. I think this would have to do most with the unary symbol fix in the latest version.

BTW, how do I add angle brackets to my post, without forming a baaad HTML tag?

<><><> ???

Where's the problem?

Where's the problem?

uh... I don't want to look up the ampersand-something-semicolon command that I think is necessary for putting in angle brackets.

what about the other problem?

a>=b works and a=>b does not. Check for yourself.

You should never need to do => or =<. I don't know a single language that lets you do that. It's greater-than-or-equal to and less-than-or-equal-to. Not equal-to-or-greater-than, equal-to-or-less-than. That's the way to remember! Honestly, why would you ever want the equal sign first?

Also, know some languages that cause reference passing to be done on => operators. So... You know, it's a no-go.

cool!!
my game's some what finished...
its playable but has a storyline few sentences long 1 map, a battle system and runs on 800x600... feel like taking it down to 400x300...
anyway cant upload yet coz my college net connection crawls slower then a slug....

800x600? That's... huge... and slow.

400x300? That's... a bad resolution :(. Why not 320x240! After all, it's what winners use! :D

since i started mine off as 800x600 what does tat make me?
lols...
any way since ure all supporting a conversion, i ll take more time converting it.
and i m uploading a chr file i made for my game. :p

There's nothing necessarily wrong with making the game in 800x600. If you want to, go right ahead! :D

The problem is that making art for 800x600 is going to be very very difficult. If you're feeling up to it, though, by all means... it's your game.

Just don't kill yourself doing it. If it'll be more work to convert it to a lower resolution, only do it if there's a real reason to. 'Winners use 320x240', while amusing, is not a good justification for needless work. ;)

yeah ...
using hi res has alot of limits,
setting obstacles n unsetting them in maped is troublesome, not to mention animating them.
i made a psd file, 2000x1000, converted it using the psd 2 map tool. maped displayed an error trying to open it. :p

back to the drawing board....

at least i got all the system things working... next stop mouse functions!!oh yeah and file handling... seems like i m ok with the rest of verge ......:p

I, myself, do not. I'm just pointing it out because it showed up in the EOS source, and caused problems. If anyone else happened to do that, they should know that it no longer passes muster.
