Tatzen

Yeah wtf grue. That'd make a perfect boss.

Since it is a griffon, and they should be quite a lot bigger than humans, I don't think it's too big... Unless you mean the image-size, which will be around 140x120px when it has an attack animation.

But you can use it in what ever way suits your purposes best. Since there's no hurry with it, I'll finish it during the weekend.

I'm glad you like it though. :)

If Immortalowl has some free time, I'm sure we'll participate in the HoV contest.

I was incorrect, it will fit within 2 of Hahn's "zones" (the packin battle system is a mix of standard fare and new concept). So yeah, it'll work in Sully 1. Sorry for the false info.

It still is, however, gorgeous.

See Grue, you can have good graphics with an old game! All you need is Ratgash!

This look OK for a slime? (4x it's usual size)

The filmstrip images are already up at http://www.verge-rpg.com/files/detail.php?id=411.

I fudged up the first upload (which you should definately feel free to delete) by forgetting to include the damage and death frames. It's over here: http://www.verge-rpg.com/files/detail.php?id=410

I included two palette swapped versions to be the amoeba and the jelly, if no-one does anything better. If I get a chance, i'll see if I can draw a new attack for each of them. And looking at the big gif just now, it's become pretty obvious that he really, really needs a big plaster on him for when he's injured or poisoned :)

Plaster?

Everything on the list is for seperate sprites, btw. These are all considered 'races' that we'll have the system auto-recolor for the 'paletteswap' versions (once there's a ReplaceColor(), that is).

Amoebas are cell-like slimes, and Jellys are more like FF-slimes, I believe.

Plaster?

Also, you now qualify for an avatar. Email me one at your discretion.

Ah. Sorry, the whole "nearly the same language but not quite thing". Band-aid, I think you call 'em.

What's the max width of one sprite? I had a thought that maybe I'd make one tall (more like the full 16x32 and the other shorter and fatter more like 32x16). With the amoeba, I was thinking maybe a nucleus at the centre of a jelly-like mass that has the eyes. Of course, that's assuming I have the time.

If I ever think of anything that'll make a decent avatar, I'll let you know ;)

There's no max anythings, really... re: the Gryphon for reference. The only thing to keep in mind is that a human is 16x32 in this scale. However, you can make a large spriting area so you have room to animate in, tho.

Also, it seems like there's more Imperialists in the community now that ever! Back in the eldar days, the only active ones were Ric with the London branch of VERGE, and Feywood with the Kiwi branch >:D

Bandaged slimes would be cute. Plastered slimes invoked images of pouring concrete into it. : )

Sound like a particuarly nasty variety of slime, the ever dreaded stone-grey slime. Not quite as bad as a steel or titanium slime, but certainly bad enough to give most hardened adventurers a bit of a beating.

Ah, I recall Ric's Extended Play website wih much fondness. (There's still a version of it up at http://freespace.virgin.net/seng.lau/ep/main.html). Also remember that nifty CHR editor he did. Yeah, I was here for that though I can't remember if I went by this alias way back then. Never actually quite managed to release anything. There was always plenty of demos at that point, so I figured, why bother releasing another one that'll just be lost in the crowd.

Tsk tsk, Rage. I can read edited posts, you know.

...and really, those pink garters completely clash with that bra, dude.

Ben McGraw's lovingly crafted this website from scratch for years.
It's a lot prettier this go around because of Jon Wofford.
